The Golden West College Theater Arts department is holding auditions for Bert Royal’s provocative comedy Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead on Wednesday December 7 and Thursday December 8, 2016 at 7:00pm. Auditions will be held at the Theater Arts complex at Golden West College, 15751 Gothard Street at Center Avenue, Huntington Beach.

Performance dates are April 7-9, 2017 at Golden West College. Director for Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead is Jill Cary Martin.

An “unauthorized parody,” Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead takes a tongue-in-cheek look at what the Peanuts gang might look like as high schoolers. Drug use, suicide, eating disorders, rebellion, sexual relations and identity are among the issues covered in this dramatic yet funny play.

For the auditions, please enter the campus from the Gothard Street side. Parking will be free for these auditions in the Gothard Street student parking lots only.

Auditions are open to everyone. all roles are open and all ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Performers do not have to be enrolled Golden West College students to audition. Cast must be available to begin rehearsals February 20 @ 6:30 PM. Rehearsals will be Monday through Thursdays from 6:30PM to 9:30 PM. Cast members will be called only when needed. All cast required for tech week and performances, April 1-9. If cast in this production, actors must enroll in a 2-unit college course.
